Over the past couple of years I have brought my science communication to TV, radio, and podcasting. If you would like someone to prepare, consult on, or present astronomy content for a media production of any kind, please let me know!
Above: in the BBC Breakfast studio.
I am a regular contributor to the Jodcast, an astronomy podcast from the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics. I have taken on a variety of different roles over the years including presenting, editing, and interviewing (with notable interviewees including Chris Lintott and Katie Mack).
The Jodcast led me into a semi-regular contribution slot on the Up All Night programme, BBC Radio 5 Live. Every few weeks, I would provide a round-up of recent astronomy news and provide an overview of what could be seen in the night sky.
Since then, I have been occasionally asked onto a range of BBC programmes to comment on astronomical news stories, including Breakfast on BBC One and BBC World News. I was also asked to do an introductory astronomy segment for CBBC Newsround.
I have also been asked to consult on various media productions, including astronomy content for Netflix’s Night on Earth (episode: Moonlit Plains).
